BRAKEPAD SCAN works with most vehicles and wheels. However, measurement may not be possible in the following cases, where the handy camera cannot reach the brake pad.
The camera cannot be inserted from the outside — for example, steel wheels, or wheels with very narrow gaps between the spokes.
Lift the vehicle or turn the steering wheel so that you can insert the camera from the inside, then measure.
The gap between the brake caliper and the wheel is too narrow for the handy camera.
Remove the wheel, or capture the image from a position other than the caliper inspection window if that is possible. In that case, adjusting the measurement manually is also useful.
Trucks and trailers.
This service is intended for passenger cars (four wheels). As in the cases above, the camera often cannot physically fit on trucks or trailers. The app is also designed for passenger cars, so one inspection can register up to four wheels.
